Our industrial shrink wrap containment approach
EcoShrink designed and installed a bespoke industrial containment system built around a custom scaffold frame and heavy-gauge shrink wrap.
Customised Scaffold Design: Designed a scaffold framework tailored to the factory’s interior layout, accommodating complex angles, ductwork and production lines. Planned the structure so that key pathways remained open and equipment could stay in place wherever possible. Built in access points so operatives could reach all areas of the works safely without disturbing nearby machinery.
High-Performance Shrink Wrap Installation: Applied multiple sheets of heavy-gauge industrial shrink wrap to the scaffold, creating a robust enclosure around the work zone. Heat-sealed seams, corners and overlaps to minimise leakage paths and deliver a near air-tight barrier. Used detailing approaches similar to environmental containment for blasting, providing a high standard of dust and debris control suitable for sensitive equipment areas.
Night-Shift Execution: Carried out installation exclusively on night shifts to avoid interference with NCC Bristol’s daily operations. Sequenced works so that key sections of containment were completed and ready for use at the start of each working day. Used shrink wrap materials and methods suitable for heavy-duty industrial conditions and extended programmes.
Achieving demolition dust containment
Over the course of several months, EcoShrink delivered the containment in two major phases, working within the factory’s operational constraints and nightshift windows.
